Guide: vCard

September 4, 2024

Virtual Business Cards or vCards are a definite upgrade over traditional physical business cards because you never have to worry about printing more of them and they contain clickable links to all your important business communication details from email address to social media profiles. Crucially, these cards are easier for recipients to save and access, making them a smarter and more convenient way to share your details.

Creating your own vCard on ConnectQR is actually very simple and you can even access our AI tools to make your code stand out even more. Let’s take a look at the steps you need to follow to create your own vCard QR code with ConnectQR.

Step-by-Step Guide for Creating a vCard code for your URL:

1) After logging into your ConnectQR account, click on “Create QR” and then choose between “Dynamic QR” or “Static QR”. For now we’ll select “Business Card” under “Dynamic QR”.

2) Pick a name for your new QR code and enter it into the “Name Your QR” box. Add tags for your new code in the “Tags” box. These tags help you search for QR codes and others like it in the future.

3) Choose the template design for your vCard and choose the colour of your button in the “Color” field. You can see a preview of your selection at all times on the right side of your screen.

4) The next fields are all related to your contact details and personal information that will be on your virtual card. You only have to fill out the details that you want to display on your vCard and leave the rest unfilled.

5) You can also add social links to your vCard by clicking on the logo of the social media platform under “Social Media” and adding a URL to your profile. You can also add an image of yourself on your vCard by uploading a photo under the “Image” section below. Click on “Save” to proceed.

6) Done! You can now download the QR code in the file format of your choice (JPG, SVG, PNG) and use it immediately. Click on “Access My ConnectQR” edit or check the analytics for your new dynamic QR code!

7) You can continue to customise your QR code by choosing between “Customise QR Code” and “AI QR Code” under the “Additional Options” heading. If you select “Customise QR Code”, you can customise your QR code’s appearance and even add your logo to it. Our “AI QR Code” feature allows you to use AI tools to create a truly unique QR code quickly and it is available to paid subscribers only.
